need infertility answers post 2

Nurse said doctor determined I have polycystic ovaries - I asked if polycystic ovaries or PCOS, she didn't know the answer. Doctor said to just keep trying. Based on info from my sister's doctor and what I researched, I understand DHEAS can elicit the hormone levels indicative of ovulation without an egg actually released. Also, DHEAS decreases the quality of the egg. According to the International Infertility Council's website, DHEAS of 400 is okay (430 is their upper limit)

I am so frustrated. We've been trying for 1 year's worth of cycles because most cycles are so short. When I called the office today to press to see the doctor, nurse spoke to the doctor and said we'll do semen analysis and HSG. I feel she's doing this just to appease me - Why won't she address my concerns about the DHEAS level? Everything is 3rd party through the nurse - she won't even call me herself. Could you please attempt to answer these questions.

1) Is DHEAS level high? 2) If abnormal DHEAS, why proceed with a semen analysis/hsg? 3) Do you do screen DHEAS routinely? 4) Is US consistent with PCOS or just polycystic ovaries. No other symptoms of PCOS other than the elevated DHEAS (which is wi/ range according to the Inter. Infert. Council) 5) Should I switch doctors. Maybe I'm impatient but next cycle begins Wed. She is out-of-town all next week so waiting another week actually means waiting another month since most drug therapies are done at the beginning of the cycle. They took 2 weeks give me my day 3 results because she was out-of-town then also.

I apologize that this is so long. I just feel like I am getting nowhere with my currect OB. Thank you so much.
