amnio indicates edd different than opkFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 28 Jun 2001 12:43:31 -0500 (CDT)
The perinatologist doing the amnio this morning asked if I was sure of the lmp date since the fetus measures large for date. My lmp was 3/6. The opk was positive on 3/16 indicating ovulation would occur on 3/17. My original due date was 12/10 and now it is 11/30. How could there be such a difference in dates? I don't believe I ovulated earlier since I tested for ovulation from 3/11 and didn't get a positive reading until the 3/16. Could this indicate anything other than an early ovulation that wasn't picked up by the opk or a large baby? If it is a large baby, what are some of the possible issues the baby might have. I do not have a history of large babies in my family or personally. Thank you.
