No period, but bleeding every 2-3 weeksFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 25 Jun 2001 21:20:49 -0500 (CDT)
My son is 9 months old. I have had one (HORRIBLE) period since he was born (4/30). Pregnancy tests have been negative. I had a TV ultrasound and they found polycystic ovaries, but I don't have PCOS as far as they can tell. I am still breastfeeding. Even though I have only had one period, every 2-3 weeks 2 weeks since before my first period, I bleed heavily for about 3 hours, then it stops. What could cause this? Is it something to worry about? From this it seems certain that I'm anovulatory right now. We'd like to start ttc again, so I keep hoping my period will start, but . . .
