'good ovulation??' Please help, Dr?!From: shpe (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 19 Jun 2001 20:12:48 -0500 (CDT)
I had my progesterone checked on day 21, which I believe from temperature charting was three to four days past ovulation. I had an obvious bbt increase...from 97.3, dipped on day 17 to 97.0 and then spiked to 97.7 and is now at 10dpo at 98.4. I requested my doc check it because my temps took a dive 2dpo. The nurse insisted on testing on day 21 because that is the "norm" instead of waiting till I thought I was 7 dpo. My progesterone level at 3/4 dpo was 6.2. I believe that I ovulated, but because of this level at 3 dpo do you think I could have had an unhealthy ovulation? Or an unhealthy egg? I got pregnant last Nov. and miscarried the baby around week 10, but didn't find out until week 12 at ultrasound. This is my second month of trying post d&c. Is 6.2 too low at 3-4 days past ovulation to be sure that I had a healthy ovulation?? Do you think it could be helpful to go ahead and take clomid eventhough I know I'm ovulating to ensure I get a "good" ovulation? The nurse indicated that she thought that is what my doc would want to do. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated!! Shelly
