3-4 Days past ovulation progesterone test--Dr. Braun???From: shpe (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 19 Jun 2001 14:50:04 -0500 (CDT)
I had my progesterone checked on day 21, which I believe from temperature charting was three to four days past ovulation. I had an obvious bbt increase...from 97.3, dipped on day 17 to 97.0 and then spiked to 97.7 and is now at 10dpo at 98.4. My progesterone level at 3/4 dpo was 6.2. One dr's opinion in the practice said from my prog. level only, that I did ovulate. My doc is out of town, but his nurse said at this level he would consider my cycle annovulatory. I disagree with her because of my temperature chart, and my cycles are consistently 31 days..which would mean 14 days after cd 17 and that is when my temp charts say I ovulated. She acts like they would want to put me on clomid!!! If anything...I think I would just need progesterone supplements. If my temps showed a constant increase from day 21 to now wouldn't you think that meant my prog. level increased as well? I don't think I used to have low progesterone because I got pregnant and carried the baby until week 10, but didn't find out until week 12 at ultrasound. This is my second month of trying post d&c. Is 6.2 too low at 3-4 days past ovulation?? thanks shelly
