Re: Vaginal Pseudonomas...what the heck is it???From: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 18 Jun 2001 18:34:41 -0500 (CDT)
I took 500 mg bid, but like I said I had to take it for SIX WEEKS. I took it for shorter durations twice before (5 days once, then 10 days.) I think Dr. Marchbein's advice of getting a urinary and stool culture is a good one. I hope all goes well for you. I am sorry about your 3 losses. Out of curiosity, did you/have you had any blue discharge with your pseudomonas? I had a blue discharge when I was pregnant and no one could find out the cause. After, when they discovered the pseudomonas infection it all made sense because the pseudomonas bacteria produce a blue toxin. Kind of interesting, huh? Again, good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
