One of the best ways to know early on if your pregnancy is viable is to have 2 blood tests 48 hrs apart. If the hcg level roughly doubles in that period then chances are your pregnancy is fine. If the hcg levels are dropping that could indicate a miscarriage. If you don't want to wait until your visit, I would get some blood work done.
