Misscarriage???

My LMP started on the 30/4/01. On Sunday 10/6/01 I noticed some spotting. Mid morning Monday I started bleeding (like a light period). I had had a blood test on Sat 9/6/01 and got the results back on Tue 12/6. It came back positive with HCG levels at 529. I told my doctor that I had some bleeding and I was sent for another blood test and an ultrasound. I went back to the doctor today (14/6) and the results from the second blood test were not good. My HCG level had dropped to 459. The u/s(which ended up being transvaginal)spotted a small fuild-filled sac and was suggestive of a small intrauterine gestational sac. It also notes that these features could also be seen with a pseudogestational sac of an ectopic pregancy. I was sent for yet another blood test today 14/6/01, and I will get the results back tomorrow. I have had no symptoms of pregnancy but I didn't have any symptoms with my first pregnancy (I already have a son aged 2 1/2. If I go by dates I should be 6 weeks and 3-4days but the u/s suggests the gestational age is 4 weeks 5 days give or take 7 days. When I saw my doctor today he seems convienced that I had lost the baby, but to me the u/s report and what the doctor told me seem to contradict each other.I am curious to whether the pseudogestational sac could be one of twins. My husbands mother is an identical twin. I am confused and can't seem to get a straight answer anywhere. All I really want is an answer, no matter what the answer is.

Thanks in advance.
