14 1/2 wks - extra sacFrom: Jennifer (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 9 Jun 2001 12:46:07 -0500 (CDT)
At 7 1/2 wks I had an u/s done and they found 2 sacs. They said the one did not develope and that the other had a baby with a h/b but that that sac was odd-shaped. I just had my 2nd u/s done yesterday and that 2nd sac is still there. It is completely empty but the doctor and technician seemed very confused by it. It looked like the 2 sacs were hooked together. The tech also said that the healthy sac was low on amniotic fluid. She said it was too early to test the volume of the fluid but it sounded like she was concerned that the fluid from the healthy sac was going into the empty sac. Is this possible? The baby was measuring right on for due date and its heartbeat was 157. I am just worried about having low fluid already. Does that mean the baby might not make it? I read somewhere that low fluid can be associated with a baby with Down's - is that true? Is there anything I can do to increase the fluids? Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated. I am very worried and confused.
