Subchorionic Separation

I am 8 weeks pregnant, and have recently had a lot of bleeding. In the ER, I was told that I had a subchorionic separation, and that the child was going to eventually miscarry. after reading similar posts to my own, I am finding that the doctor that gave me that diagnosis was selling my chances short to say the least. my question is, if i do carry this baby to term...is there any documentation regarding the condition of the child? is there any risk of retardation, or damage to the fetus in any way? or is this specifically a problem that exists outside of the sac, and does not effect the growth of the embryo inside?

please let me know.

thank you
