Lori, Try calling the nearest university with a medical school and/or contact a local Maternal Fetal Medicine Doctor (perionatologist). You could ask your OB for a referral to one.

The doctor just called to inform me that he can send me for genetic counseling but that "they do not do CVS". Now what? I have called the prenatal clinic, who said that they do not perform it and even called Planned Parenthood, who had no ideas. Going online, I can find a lot of information on CVS and it does look like the right choice for me and my family rather than waiting for an amnio. But, how do I find where to have the proceedure done, and I assume I can't just walk in and say, "Give me CVS"? So it is great that the testing exists, but it does not do me any good if I can't have it. Any ideas?
