I'm not a doctor, but here's what I know. It does not cause miscarriages. 30% of all women are carriers of GBS. It is not an infection, rather a colonization--UNLESS it was a urine test and you have a GBS UTI >Is my baby safe from this right now?

The current thinking is that antbiotics don't do any good until labor. The colonization just comes back. Your doc simply isn't following the accepted protocol. Also, in mt docs office once you tesy positive, you automatically get antibiotics in labor-- no retesting.
