There are 5-10 reported in the World's literature. They must be delivered by abdominal surgery. The placenta has to be left attached(removal causes severe unstoppable hemorrhage and death). It sometimes takes up to a year for the placenta to be absorbed and can cause terrible adhesions or other problems. You don't want to have one.
