crazy, obsessive questions

I am 37 years old and two months ago I suffered a fetal demise at 17 wks. due to tetraploidy. I had my first cycle following the D&C, completely normal, 35 days long, (I use to run about 32-35 days) with ewcm days 19-22. Now this month, we're trying again, and I'm charting my cycle, but nothing seems normal. I'm on day 20, not anticipating that I would ovulate until about now, but I have no mucus or signs of it, and what little mucus I have had in this cycle was back around days 12-15. I had what seems to be a kind of sort of temperature rise on day 18. If my history is of long cycles, is it possible that I could begin now to have shorter cycles? Or is this cycle more likely a fluke or even anovulatory. If anovulatory, do I need to worry? I'm trying to lose the 15 pounds I gained during the pregnancy, and have been dieting, although not terribly strenuously (Just replacing 2 meals a day with a protein shake). Could that postpone or mess up ovulation?

I have 3 children, all of which were conceived 1st or 2nd month of trying (including the last pregnancy) so I have no previous conception issues, no known history of miscarriage, and up until this whole event, I never thought twice about having problems getting or staying pregnant. I always thought we were in the category of if we just looked at eachother I'd get pregnant because each time, we got off birth control, waited 6 months, picked a time and bingo, got pregnant. I was so overly confident of our ability to control that, we even timed our last pregnancy to attempt for a boy with an October birth to coincide with our work schedules (got a boy, October 1st) If I have had a previous history of excellent fertility, am I in the same general category of what seem to be dismal odds for getting pregnant at 37, or do I have better odds than general averages.

Final questions:

This cycle is the first time I've ever really paid attention to my cervix, and I've noticed that there is an irregular bump or ridge on one side. Is this something I should be worried about? Lord knows the doctors have looked at my cervix 20 times in the last 4 months, but I don't remember feeling that before, but then again, I wasn't really paying attention either.

Also: Can anyone give me any information about the causes of tetraploidy. The genetics counselor said it was sometimes from a pregnancy that started out as twins but didn't separate, or 3 sperm fertilize an egg. What are the odds of either of these, and am I at any increased risk for twins? If 3 sperm fertilized an egg, does this mean my eggs are damaged or have weak membranes that didn't do what they're supposed to?

Thank you so much for any information. This is my first time posting a question ever anywhere. This looks like a very well-informed message board, and I have had many questions answered here through other's postings, so I have found it to be very helpful curbing some of my anxieties.
