Janet If they are using a pitocin drip, my biggest suggestion would be to go for the epidural ASAP. Pitocin will make your contractions strong from the get-go (usually) My first induction took about 10 hours total, and the second took about 8. I am on my third now, and not being induced this time, so I don't know what to expect on the other end of the spectrum!!!! good luck to you!
