Abnormal Test ResultsFrom: Lily (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 31 May 2001 06:04:14 -0500 (CDT)
I have searched and not found my specific question, if I have overlooked, please accept my apology. At age 37, I have a low AFP result. MD thinks edd is incorrect, as do I. The initial edd was 11/20. I think it is more like 10/28. My question is if I am further along in the pregnancy, wouldn't this just make my numbers seem even lower instead of getting a better result after adjusting the edd? I'm not sure if I'm making sense, but it seems to me that if they are low at what they think is 14 weeks, wouldn't being 16 - 18 weeks be worse? I've read everthing I can find, but nothing addresses this specific question. Thanks in advance for you time.
