Montgomery, MD: "Re: skipped question.. ultrasound" i just had a vaginal u/s at 5 1/2 weeks pg. the doctor showed me the gestational sac but no heartbeat. also i looked in the archives and heard other women talking about a "pole" (?) what is this? if i didnt have one would the doctor have pointed it out?? he didnt say anything about that. i have another u/s in 2 weeks to see the heartbeat. is something wrong? should we have seen it by now??
