I had something very simailar happen to me. I was on day 26 of my cycyle and I tested postive on a home test. I had blood work done to measure my hcg levels and they came back inconclusive. I had another test done 5 days later and it showned a very early pregancy like one week ( which was impossiable beacause I hadn't had sex for two weeks) Anyway, the third test I had doen was another five days later and it came back positive. I just went to the doctor yesterday and he did an untrsound on me and I am nine weeks along which made sence to me but not in my hcg numbers) I asked the doctor why my numbers were low he said as long as they increase that is all that is important. So I woould have your docotor redo the test in a few days to see if they went up. I am not a doctor but I think any postive result even a faint one is a good sign. Best of luck.
