Can you get a second opinion? A nurse I met at the hospital told me that she had had a "bad" u/s scan at 20 weeks where the perinatologist told her that the baby only had one kidney, and the esophagus was not connected to the stomach... the peri told her she needed an abortion. She went and got a second opinion from another peri and this one told her that the scan looked fine. Her baby was born and was healthy. She kept telling me that she was glad that she didn't make a huge decision based just on the one doctor's opinion....
