Could only see three chambers of the heart on u/s and worried

I had my u/s today and the tech freaked me out. She measured forever and when she finally let me see she showed me the head and the heart. I had been hearing about the defect where the baby's skull is not complete (sorry I don't remember the name of it) so I asked if the whole skull was there and she said yes. But when I asked if all four chambers of the heart were there, she said she couldn't tell me. I was scared something was wrong and the doctor seemed to take forever looking at them. When I was finally able to see him, he told me that they couldn't see all four chambers and that he wouldn't do another u/s to confirm they were there. I asked if my baby could live with just three and he said no. He wouldn't do the u/s because he said it wouldn't change the outcome. I want to know if my baby is okay. Have any of you experienced this? What was the outcome? What should I do? Thanks, Meredith edd 10-3-01
