I posted a question last week that Dr. Shanahan answered regarding a small sac. I had an ultrasound one week ago and again three days ago, confirming heartbeat and fetal size that were normal. Doctor advised that sac was small and I had an increased risk of miscarriage. I had small amount of spotting a week ago then nothing for a week. Once again, starting two days ago more spotting and yesterday morning dark red with tissue. Only when I go to the bathroom and only when I wipe, but the tissue has alarmed me and the dark red color. I have changed doctors due to attitude and patient relationship and I have an appointment this coming Fri (1 week)with new doctor, unless symptoms worsen. No bad cramping, but I wonder where is the tissue coming from and why? If this is impending miscarriage how long until bleeding gets heavier? This is my third pregnancy and I didn't spot with either of the first two. Sorry for the long question, but this forum has been a lifesaver for my sanity and the doctors replies are so helpful.
