Hi....I know that increased blood volume can cause the heart to be a little irregular, and that shortness of breath in pregnancy is normal under the circumstances. There is so much going on in there, and the uterus is growing and taking up room, it's understandable that you would be short of breath. I would talk to my Dr if you are really concerned. I am 36 weeks, and I mostly have shortness of breath in the morning, and at times I do have an irregular heartbeat. Sometimes, I can even hear my heart beating inside my right ear!!!! Good luck....
