'diagnostic ultrasound'From: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 25 May 2001 13:10:08 -0500 (CDT)
Yesterday I was exactly 12 weeks along [LMP]. On June 7th, I am scheduled for a diagnostic ultrasound and "counseling" from a maternal fetal specialist [I'll be 41 years old when the baby is born]. I heard that you have to be between 15-16 weeks for a diagnostic ultrasound [the one where the measure for "Down's markers" and check for spina bifida, etc.]. On june 7th, I'll be exactly 14 weeks. Is this too early? Should I reschedule?? I have to drive for almost an hour to get to the nearest city to have things like this done, so I don't want to drive all the way there for nothing. Thanks for you help... Kristy
