I can help you with the carrots. I know that it is very dangerous to have too much Vitamin A during pregnancy. Birth defects have been caused by too much Vitamin A. I believe that one carrot stick has about 200-300% of the adult daily requirement for Vitamin A. (Look at the label.) Since you are probably taking prenatal vitamins, you are receiving sufficient Vitamin A. I also remember from a college nurition course that Vitamin A is one of the vitamins that the human body stores so it is not necessary to receive the 100% daily requirement every day. I wouldn't eat carrot sticks every day because you may be giving yourself dangerous amount of Vitamin A. It probably won't hurt to eat one or two every few days.
