When a person is having trouble tolerating any significant diet, the body switches over and begins to burn fat. This is ok, but one of the by-products of burning fat is something called ketones. These ketones can potentially be harmful to the pregnancy. I would want to do a simple urine dip-stick analysis of your urine to assure that you are not having a lot of these ketones. If not, the baby should be doing fine... Lynn
