not trying to butt in here, dr montgomery, but i would remind melanie that once her water has broken she doesnt want anything actually in the vagina. this can help to introduce infection which is one of the biggest concerns once your water breaks.

as an aside dr. montgomery i have (or used to) have a web site bookmarked of labor/birth stories and there was a section dedicated to sexual stimulation through laboring/birthing. it is a very interesting read - especially for a self-described 'birth-junkie' like me!
