Heather, I can certainly see why you would be frustrated. It sounds as though you likely had some chorionic tissue (placental like tissue) that hung on in the uterus for a while and continued to produce HCG. This can cause problems with resumption of your ovulation/cycles. Given that the HCG has finally gone to 0, the advice to wait a while longer sounds prudent... Lynn
