My first post partum period started April 30. It's now May 21 and I am bleeding AGAIN. I thought it was just periovulatory spotting (maybe), but now it is heavier and bright red. My internist says I have an ovarian cyst based on my history (no ultrasound or pelvic exam). Can ovarian cysts make you bleed this much? Are there any other causes for midcycle bleeding? Can periovulatory bleeding be heavy? My husband and I are ttc, so I guess it could be implantation bleeding, but that seems like a VERY long shot.
