Here is what I read on-line about sit-ups and pregnancy... it is OK to do sit-ups until the uterus starts getting big enough that it can be felt above the pubic bone. After that time, the stress of situps can put pressure on the rectus muscles and increase the chance of seperation (I think it is called diastasis rectus). That is what I read - It was from an exercise physiologists who does pregnancy exercise classes.
