calcium supplement

I have problems with severe nausea when I take regular prenatal vitamins. The minute they hit my stomach, it comes right back up, so my doc put me on Premesis, which is folic acid and vitamin B. I am concerned about my calcium intake. I have never been a milk drinker and only eat cheese, yogurt, ice cream on rare occasions. With my last pregnancy, I had severe leg cramps, which I have since learned is from lack of calcium. Is it safe to take just a calcium supplement with my Premesis. If so, how much should I try and take? I forgot to ask OB when I saw her today. Thanks! Jenny
