In most cases, doctors can decide whom they will treat. If there are medical issues that one feels unable to manage, that is an acceptable reason not to keep a patient in the practice. Most obs will see a variety of pregnancy complicaitons. If your weight is excessive, that does make a higher risk. A perinatal doc might be recommended then. If docs won't see you, they should at least try to refer you to one who will.
