5 weeks ago today (May 11, 2001), I had a D&C following a most unfortunate miscarriage (aren't they all). I still haven't gotten my period and am starting to get concerned that maybe I never will. I'm 39 years old and very anxious to start trying again but obviously I cannot until I menstruate. Is it possible that I've become one of those statistics that gets 'neutered' during a D&C?!? Incidentally, I don't know if these two things matter, but I'm mentioning them just in case: One, my cycles before I ever got pregnant were fairly irregular - one month 34 days, the next month 36 days, sometimes even 38 days! Also, the fetus died at 8 and a half weeks. Can anyone tell me the range of how long it can take to get your period after a D&C? Thank you.
