no fetus detected in ultrasoundFrom: Allie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 9 May 2001 14:09:15 -0500 (CDT)
Yesterday I had an ultrasound. I believed that I was eleven weeks pregnant. The ultrasound did not detect a fetus and my uterus was measured at seven weeks. I have had several home pregnancy tests, (including one I took today) and a blood test that all came up positive. I recently had a miscarriage in December 2000 and am terrified that it is happening again. Although this time, I have had no cramping or bleeding and continue to have some signs of pregnancy including tiredness and sore/ swollen breasts. Could there have been something wrong with the ultrasound? Could I have miscalculated my pregnancy and the embryo would not show as early as seven weeks? How could pregnancy tests come up positive and yet there is no sign of a baby?
