small baby?From: Charly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 1 May 2001 03:53:12 -0500 (CDT)
Hello I'm currently 24wks pregnant with my fourth baby. I had an u/s scan today because my midwife was concerned about the babies growth and also lack of movement (I'm still not feeling the baby move). The findings of this scan was that the baby was on the small side, measurements, FL 41, HC 205 and AC 175. They want to re scan me again in 2wks. My questions are, are these measurments within normal ranges or are they a reason to be concerned. Also my youngest child is only 8 months, could the short gap have anything to do with this baby being small. What are the reasons for having a small for dates baby, all my others were large. I had quite a few early scans so we know the EDD is correct. Also the scan showed the placenta was attached to the front wall of the uterus, as my last baby was born my c-section could this be a problem? I'm sorry for asking so many questions but any info would help to stop me going mad over the next 2 wks
