Questions about Pregnyl injectionFrom: Passakorn (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Apr 2001 23:38:38 -0500
Hi, I took 100mg of clomid two months ago during cd3-9. The doctor found ovarian cysts in both ovaries. Last month I was prescribed with the birth control pills to make sure that the cysts would rupture. The ultrasound this month showed that the cysts already ruptured. So we start with clomid again but with a lower dose of 50mg during cd5-9. I had ultrasound during cd10 and the doctor said that my uterine lining is a bit too light so he prescribed me with Progynova to improve it. I had another ultrasound on cd13. The uterine lining did not improve that much and the doctor also prescribed Pregnyl injection for me. My questions are: a) Do you think my uterine lining problem is the effect of birth control pills I took last month or the effect of clomid? b) What is the reason that the doctor prescribed me with the Pregnyl shot while my uterine lining may be insufficient? c) I am very concerned with the side effects of the Pregnyl, what would be the first indicators that I might have it? Thanks in advance, Meg
