slowly falling hcgFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Apr 2001 23:23:32 -0500
I'm writing for a friend who has been miscarrying for three weeks.Three weeks ago at five weeks gestation hcg 50, two days later hcg 25, seven days later hcg 44, two days later hcg 39. Was concerned about ectopic with these levels, and has history of same with loss of one tube. U/S one week ago showed nothing in tube, and something in uterus (nonspecific). Has been bleeding and passing tissue for three weeks.Has been advised by her physician that this can be normal, not to worry, no further testing required, and to return for followup appt. in 2-3 months. She is concerned. Should she be monitored more closely? Are there still risks? Thanks very much.
