The ultrasound will show follicles, but they will determine whether or not you are ready for ovulation based on the size of the follicles. If you are going to be using an HCG shot to make you ovulate, then they will monitor you until you get to around 18 mm or so, then give the shot and either have you do an IUI or just baby-dancing with your hubby! I, too, always ovulated later on Clomid, but the HCG shot will take care of that. Good luck!
