I have had the same experience several times now, again with faint positive which didn't darken...I have a feeling that although there are stats for percentage of women who get pregnant according to age etc. that they don't take into account the accuracy levels of hpts these days, it is possible that fertilisation rates are higher than previously thought... (years ago tests couldn't be conducted until your period was delayed by 1 week minimum) we are finding out sooner, however the rate of early problems may well be higher, so the stats seem correct. In my case I have had faint positives four times in the last year of trying, I try to look on the bright side that at least we can conceive, however, the last time that I retained a pregnancy I got a dark line on the day that I was due, I figure you can expect a faint line early on, but should be seeing a definite line at the time of your period, if not, it could indicate late ovulation, late implantation...both can vary, or a pregnancy which isn't viable that possibly results in a delayed period, but ends in a very early miscarriage and according to the site a high percentage are lost due to chromosomal abnormalities. I hope that this is of some value, it is easy to say don't test so soon, but hard to wait that long...
