hello i am 34 weeks today..went to dr.for visit..the doc says my cervix is firm but dialated a fingertip..my question is that , i thought you had to soften before you dialated, last weeK another md out of the office said i was thinning, and spongy..??out of 9 pregnancies..only 2 successful..i have never dialated on my own and have had 2 emergency c-sections due to toxemia..so far no signs of that ,but i am scheduled to have a c-section this time too.. how will i know if my contractions are dialating me ?? i am on brethine prn i had a ultrasound and they said with stimulation "he is breathing" one more thing..if it is true labor will brethine stop it? thanks sooooooo much ,kristie
