Trying to conceive..From: Catherine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Apr 2001 16:33:32 -0500 (CDT)
Please help! We are having trouble conceiving after 2 yrs of trying. I am 33yrs and my husband 34yrs. We are healthy, exercise regularly and take daily multivitamins. I seem to have a normal cycle between 26-28 days, I seem to be ovulating as I do home urine tests that show a surge along with some vaginal secretions etc plus a saline test kit. I have hospital tests and here is the report from my doctor:
-- Catherine underwent a laparoscopy and hydrotubation and hysteroscopy in February 2001. A hysteroscopy using normal saline was performed. A good view of the uterine cavity was demonstrated. Both tubal ostia were clearly seen and there was no intrauterine pathology demonstrated. An endometrial biopsy was taken which showed normal endometrium with no evidence of endometritis or neoplasia. At laparoscopy, the uterus appeared normal size and shape. Both ovaries appeared normal. Dye filled and spilled readily from both fallopian tubes. Both tubes were mobile and appeared normal. There was grade I endometriosis involving the peritoneal cavity, in particular the ovarian fossa, uteroscaral ligaments and peritoneum over the bladder. These areas where mostly resected or diathermied. There was no evidence of endometriomas or rectovaginal endometriosis. No fibriods were present. ~~~ My husband had a semen analysis in December 2000: Semen color: White, Viscosity: Normal, Appearance: Opaque, PH: 8.1 H, Volume: 1.00 L, Count: 265 Million, Motility: 73 %, Progression: 3+ (mod. Speed, forward progression) Morphology: 95 %
