upper left abdominal painFrom: Sarah (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Apr 2001 16:24:53 -0500 (CDT)
I am 20 weeks pregnant, and have been having this problem for several (three or so) weeks. I get a dull to sometimes sharp pain in my upper left quadrant, directly under my ribs, that radiates to my back. It is VERY uncomfortable, and usually I have to get up and pace around to feel better. It also feels better if I arch my back and kind of "stretch out". I seems to be worse when my stomach is full, however bothers me whenever I have to sit for long periods of time. I am feeling fine otherwise and have had a very easy pregnancy so far. Any ideas? (I know gall bladder stones can do this, however that should be on the right side- correct?)
