Does metotraxate caused me an anembryonic pregnancy? From: Ana (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 28 Apr 2001 09:50:50 -0500 (CDT)
My doctor told me I had an eutopic pregnancy. He gave me a dosis of metotraxate (quimiotherapic treatment) in order to drop the embryo and avoid a laparoscopy. After some days, the beta-hcg was still high around 5000, so he decided to make me a laparoscopy. Unfortunately, he found a quist instead of an embryo. Next day he found through the ecography that there was a sac inside my uterus but aparently with no embryo inside. The day after tomorrow, I will have an aspiration to take the trophoblast (sac).I am very confused after this story, I would like to know if the reason why there was no embryo inside the sac (Blighted ovum) was because of the dosis of metotraxate?
