IBS? ---major stomach pain/cramping/constipation---anyone with same symptoms? dr's advice?From: Erin (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 26 Apr 2001 13:23:10 -0500 (CDT)
I am approx. 9 weeks pregnant and for last 4 weeks have been having severe constipation, paralyzing sharp pains in my entire abdomen, steady low cramping (last for at least an hour), and intestinal cramps feeling like i have to go to the bathroom and not being able to go. These symptoms often come and go lasting anywhere from 1 hour to 3. i have had these symptoms before in the last year but never every day like now. Some of them come at least once a day and just about incapacitate me. (i have to lay down) I know it is not just the iron in my prenatals cause i have been taking them for almost a year now. (due to miscarriages) They sometimes feel like menstrual cramps which makes me upset and worried and i was wondering if anyone had these symptoms, or if the dr. knows if they could be irritable bowel?
