Conception, Blood tests, & UltrasoundFrom: Scott (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 26 Apr 2001 13:14:08 -0500 (CDT)
My question concerns the possible miscarriage of my wifes pregnancy. The only day she could have conceived was Mar 28/29. The first day of LMP was March 10.This should make her 6 1/2 weeks, right? well the ultrasound yesterday, apr 25, showed a very small little round something that the doc. dated at maybe 4-4 1/2 weeks. After that the doctor mentioned miscarriage and non-growing about 5 times. She also changed her mind about scheduling the 18 week diagnostic ultrasound, said we should hold off eventhough prior to the ultrasound she wanted to go ahead and schedule it. She then wanted to do a bloodwork up to test HGC levels and my wife must go back Fri for the second test. Our dates are not off, though the doc. mentioned that. Is this all as ominous as I think? I couldn't ask the doc. these questions with my wife there, it would have wrecked her. At 6 1/2 weeks, shouldn't there have been atleast something visible, other than what we saw? Thanks in advance, Scott
