It is very likely that in the position you found uncomfortable, the ovary that was either preparing to or had ovulated was being impacted by the intercourse. The ovaries are inside the abdomen but they are very close to the vagina, which is surprisingly thin. The ovaries can be quite sensitive, especially around the time of ovulation... Lynn
