I am 39 weeks pregnant and in misery. I know that aches and pain are normal, but my pains are to the point to where it hurts me to walk, my legs get numb when i go to sleep from the pressure of the baby, Just total discomfort. I have a doctors appointment tommorrow, He said last week that if i haven't went into labor by then, he would go ahead and induce me. I know that I am 2 cm. and 50% effaced from being at the hospital yesterday with horrible pain. Is it safe to induce at 39 weeks? and being only 2cm and 50%, is that going to make for a long labor? This is my third child. My first was born at 36 weeks, after 4 hours of labor, my son was at 40 weeks after 3 hours of labor. Thanks for your opinions!
