I am 34 weeks pregnant tommorrow. Two days ago I went into the hospital thinking that I had premature labor. The doctor had me on a nst test but didn't find any contractions and told me it's probably muscular. They taught though that the baby was not reactive enough to the nst test, so they kept me overnight and put me on a Iv. They finally decided the following day that maybe the baby is in some sort of trouble, so they did a bpp and the baby scored 8/8. They sent me home yesterday and put me on bedrest They are not impressed with the nst test and have schreduled me twice a week to go in. The Doctor also told me that if I dont go into labor on my own he will induced me at 38 weeks. My two questions are is NST testing safe to me and my unborn child? And Is 38 weeks totally safe to deliver a baby can their be any complications, such as lung immaturity etc.
