twin: only survivorFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 25 Apr 2001 14:30:52 EDT
I am the only survivor of fraternal twins. I visit my sister's grave sometimes and I think about her. She lived for 3 hours, I almost went with her, but amazingly survived, we were born at 26 weeks in 1971. My mother didn't even know until we were born that there was 2 of us. People ask whether I feel a bond, I do but I don't feel alone, as I feel my life is hers also, I represent both of us, a partnership. Does anyone else had this experience? In contrast, my eldest sister was born in 1960, a massive 10 lbs 11 oz, her first and she is narrow hipped and skinny. It ripped her apart nearly and they let her labour for 4 days, this was surely unneccessary, why was this?
