I ovulated around day 16 (March 28) of my cycle. Because of a miscarriage 7 months ago, the doctor is monitoring my hcg and progesterone. On April 12 (one day after my missed period), my hcg was 168.8 and progesterone was 71. 6 days later (April 18), my hcg was 2660 and progesterone was 58.6. 2 days later (April 20), my hcg was 6441 and progesterone was 92. Now, 5 days later (April 25) my hcg is only 17,049 and progesterone is 101. I am EXTREMELY worried about the small rise in hcg over the last 5 days. I have read on the forum that hcg "can't double forever" and that it often slows down bet 7-8 weeks OR when it reaches 20,000. However, this slowdown has occurred before the 7-8 week period and before the 20,000 mark. Does the latest hcg number indicate a cause for concern? Please advise. Thank you.
