excess saliva

For those pregnant women suffering from excess saliva, I don't think we should give up so easy. When I was pregnant my doctors could not give me any useful information on the subject. I would like to have another child but I dread going through another sickening pregnancy. My new doctor said it will definitely come back again. (So much for "every pregnancy is different.") My first month was fine, followed by several months of nausea then four months of spitting. It slowed down after the birth of my very healthy son, but it comes back occasionally when I am sick with a cold or something. The spitting was non stop. I could not sleep at night because I had to spit all the time. How can I take care of a toddler while I'm spitting? There has to be an answer.
